Our Journey Since 2010
Platinum Groupe's history begins in January 2010, when we were formed through the restructuring of Exodus and Company (Pvt) Ltd. This strategic transformation established our foundation as an integrated investment holding company, marking the beginning of our commitment to delivering sophisticated investment banking solutions for Zimbabwe's financial sector.
Since our formation, we have strategically built and expanded our capabilities through acquisitions and organic growth, positioning ourselves as Zimbabwe's premier investment banking partner. Our journey reflects our commitment to excellence, innovation and serving our clients' evolving needs.

Key milestones in our evolution
Formation of Platinum Groupe
Platinum Groupe was formed through the restructuring of Exodus and Company (Pvt) Ltd, establishing our foundation as an integrated investment holding company specialising in sophisticated investment banking solutions for Zimbabwe's financial sector.
Acquisition of Platinum Securities
We acquired NDH Equities (Private) Limited, a registered member of the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange operating since 1999, and rebranded it as Platinum Securities (Private) Limited. This acquisition expanded our securities trading and stock broking capabilities.
Acquisition of Platinum Investment Managers
We acquired MBCA Capital Management (Private) Limited, a fund and wealth management company founded in 1999 as the asset management division of MBCA Holdings Zimbabwe (a subsidiary of Nedbank SA). Rebranded as Platinum Investment Managers (Private) Limited, this acquisition significantly strengthened our wealth management and investment services division, starting with US$4.5 million in assets under management.
Launch of Platinum Microfinance
Platinum Microfinance (PMF) was established as a licensed microfinance institution in Zimbabwe, regulated by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe. PMF was created to consolidate financial services with lending activities and to leverage various group opportunities, providing tailored lending services to clients who may not have access to mainstream commercial banking.
Assets Under Management Milestone
Platinum Investment Managers achieved a significant milestone, growing assets under management from US$4.5 million in 2010 to US$100 million by 2020. This growth demonstrated our ability to navigate challenging economic conditions while maintaining our commitment to clients and delivering strong investment performance.
International Recognition
Platinum Groupe received prestigious international recognition, being awarded Best Investment Bank Zimbabwe by Capital Finance International (CFI.co). This award acknowledged our growth, innovation and commitment to excellence in serving Zimbabwe's financial sector.
